to VTT. There are lots of good comments and good models suggested . Depending on how far you are willing to go with a rebuild you might consider studying the rebuilds of campers with drop down floors. You could get pretty good headroom in a cute early Shasta Compact canned ham if you were doing a frame up resto and had the frame modified to accommodate a drop down "well" in the entrance and partway back toward the side bench areas (to just in front of the axel). Serro Scotties and other campers that are compact have that so you can step in and then pivot around to front dinette areas/front kitchenette or side kitchenette and then toward the back gaucho seat/bed and still not be hauling any camper larger than you need/want. Finally, I agree with mobiltec that the camper I would suggest for no modifications would be a canned ham shaped Airflyte. I'm 6'2" and my head starts brushing the roof of my '59 right around where I am starting to bend to sit or lay down at the rear of the Airflyte.

great suggestion (dropping floor) but that's a little more than I wanted to get into. I ended up getting a '64 FAN that has 6 ft 2 in already. Thanks

I am new to vintage trailers but definitely have the bug and want to find one to restore. Just starting to narrow down my search. I want interior length to be about 13-15 feet. But I need interior height to be over 6 foot as I am 6'1". On line I found a 69 Shasta Loflyte but nowhere could I find the height dimensions. And can't yet reach owner. What models would you steer me towards and away from as I don't want my head always hitting the ceiling. Thanks for any info you can give me.

i have i 67 shasta loflte and i am 6-1 tall as well, not a problem may be if you where 6-2. the nice thing about lofltes is they have a lower overall height than other trailers and they will fit in most garages
