I am going to be building wings for my trailer to match the ones that were a decal on the original. If I can't swing it I am going to suck it up and pay Tyler a fortune to experiment his way into figuring it out. However in planning all this I would like to know how they are attached so I can do things in the right order. Do I..
1.) Attach them with screws from the inside of the trailer, while the wall is off, and then cover them while trailer is painted?
2. Attach them from the outside some how once the trailer is complete?
If you have a photo of attaching them, I would love to see it.

LadyW, the wings are attached from the outside. Backer boards are usually added during the build to help support them. On Shastas, there are spacers to make up for the J rail/edge trim. It depends on the trailer what size. I have photos of a wing install, but they are too numerous to post here. PM me and I can email them to you. Basically shows the new/old screw holes, putty to seal, wings before and after attachment, etc.
