It did us, too, I can'f imagine it being left this way over the 7-month winter. he cabin part seemed to be between 7 and 8 feet front to back, making the whole thing about 14 or 15 feet wide. Also the trailer only poked out on one end. You couldn't tell how long it was, but the back end of the building was flush all the way across. Hmm,

Look, here's one you can drive around. Does this give you the same warm fuzzy feeling?

Must be fun to be passed by an eighteen-wheeler.

How many Vdubs have you seen with a back porch?

I didn't notice the back porch. Maybe the owners of the cab/mper took their idea from the VW.

We saw this last month while we were up in Arctic Norway: how to have both a cabin AND a travel trailer. We know they were home, notice the Norwegian flag up on the left hand side. We would have loved to peek inside that one. If it was done as well inside as outside, I bet it was awesome. You can't see the lace curtains in the windows of the permanent part. Many of the cabins out in the old deserted mining towns that I have visited were built like this. They start with a trailer and then add on to it as income grows. I lived in one up in June Lake Loop for a year.

I remember seeing those, but I suspect this was planned this way. The trailer is a newer one and the cabin part doesn't seem to be any older. There is such a short season for camping at 70 degrees north, that we wondered if they towed it south in September, then north again in June. We should have stopped to ask. Their flag was out - a sign that someone's home. THey probably spend February in the south of France or something.
