I know I spelled it wrong.
I need our cot and table brackets and a table pole leg, re-done. PO painted over them and now stripped, look like crap.
I watched a few videos on boob tube. Think I can do it myself?

I would take the easy way out and spray them with a metallic spray paint. It wouldn't be as durable, but would look good.

Oops never mind, just read your other post. But I'm amazed at how good some if the metallic spray paints look now .

I could be wrong but I don't believe that the parts you mentioned were ever galvanized because it is a rough ugly finish. I have never seen it used inside a trailer. They may have been cad plated and buffed. This gives a smooth chrome like finish, but it isn't chrome. Don't know just guessing. Many plating processes can be done at home using a battery bank for power. See the internet this includes chrome, nickle, and cooper. Anodizing is also fairly simple at home just be careful. Many of the strong acids now have available substitutes, see internet. Again BE CAREFUL keep children and pets away from tanks.

My cot brackets and round table brackets are fine! Dh worked on them and didn't have to re-paint. The table leg pole looks sad but we're leaving it alone, for now.
None of it was galvenized. You were right!

You might consider powder coating for the leg. It's very durable, doesn't chip, and you can get it done in any color you want. It's less costly if you pick a color that they have in stock like wheel silver, black, etc.
