Just like any boat, a "boat with wheels", must have a name as well! What have you all named your trailers & why?
I'll go first.
Mine is called the 'Alda Lorayn' after my gramma. My gramma hates her first name but agrees that it is the perfect name for my trailer! When the trailer is done, we are going to have my gramma's signature put on the back.
Your turn!

When I went to the DMV to get a license plate for the 1965 Shasta Compact I had just bought the license plate started with the letters "STU". So I named the camper Stu!

My trailer is called "Little Red Bird"... partly because there was a red bird in the original logo, and also because we put word Bird in our RV's my moms boat is the Thunderbird, my boat is the baby bird, and our big trailer is called "The Nest".. so I guess I am a bit of a bird person..

I won't list ALL the names, here's the latest: 58 Cardinal is Mae West, because her body is so svelte: The Little Dipper was "Freedom" because it was free, but better known as "Uncle Don" because of all the PO mistakes/disasters: And poor Ol Swamper: Willed to SusieQ if I croak. Storage for now.

Hamlet, because he's too small to be a full "ham." (And because of our love of literature... the tow vehicle is named "Rosenkranz.")

Lucille after Lucille Ball AND BB King's guitar. After she was named, I was looking through all the paperwork that came with her and discovered on the original title the original owner's name was - Lucille!! It was meant to be.

Cool that the original owner was named Lucille - that's great.
Our Compact is named Lula Belle, and our Airflyte is referred to as Big Sister. She may get a more conventional name later on, or maybe not ...

Our Friendship Vacationaire doesn't have a name. It's more of a description. Sometimes we refer to it as "the conversion piece."
Without fail people will ask about our camper. We have met a lot of nice people that way.

"When Pigs Fly" soon to be shortened to "Pigs Fly" (hopefully it flies.) My son made some comment about flying pigs when we brought her home. She was originally some shade of pink with tale-tale traces of faded pink paint left. I'm not a pink lover but my little piglet will get her pink back and her wings.
Vikx, don't die, but I'd take 'Ol Swamper in a heartbeat just because of the name, wings and it looks like it crawled out of the bayou I grew up on.

Sorry SusieQ, the wing now belongs to a lucky LoFlyte... There's not a lot left, just some plumbing parts and bad cabinets/paneling inside. The bathroom is intact. Roof vents are tarred in place. Swamper seriously did crawl out of the Bayou. Very surprised it didn't arrive with a gator in residence. MOLD everywhere. Yes it's CLEANER!! Swamper is happy here. He has a bird's eye view of every build and guards his parts like a mother hen...

My '60 Shasta Airflyte is Lola. In going through names in my head, it went something like this: "Shasta... what do I think of when I say Shasta? Daisies? No, I know there are already at least a couple Shastas named Daisy... hmmm... Shasta Cola... cola makes me think of the song 'Lola'. Hmmm, Lola's a cute name." Then I messaged my creative thinking friend and said my camper needed a name. Her 2nd thing she spewed out was Lola. And so Lola it would be.

If I re-named mine now, it would be "Dauber." I have cleaned out more dirt dauber nests than I've seen in my life time. The only ones left now are in my drain pipe and plumbing vent. I plan on washing them out.

Originally, while still wearing my rose-coloured glasses, I named my trailer Trixie...short for Beatrice which means 'blessed traveler, bringer of joy'. However, she very quickly evolved into Tricksy Trixie.
tricksy: playing tricks habitually; mischievous; crafty or difficult to deal with. Also a bit of a nod to a Gollum quote about tricksy hobbits from a Lord of the Rings movie...I'm a big fan :-)
She did kind of name herself!
