Not sure if this is where this fits, and I don't have the cable to download my pics, so I will have to do a description of what we saw yesterday...
For the past five days, we've been in northern Norway (way up north of the Arctic Circle), catching some of that good old midnight sun. We were coming back into town from a day of hiking along a fjord when my hubby stopped the car and turned around (no mean feat on these narrow roads). "You've GOTTA see this!"
Now Norwegians love the outdoors, and if you don't have a boat, you have a cabin, or a travel trailer. Well, he pulled up to thecutest little cabin you ever saw. It was painted red with white trim. The back half of the cabin was a travel trailer!. Now this wasn't one of those cheesy things done with an old, broken down camper, the roof fitted over it in a way that the trailer (maybe five or six years old) could be driven out from under it and taken on its own trip, leaving the back of the cabin closed and everything intact. I guess even the cool beauty of an Arctic summer may leave some wanting a trip to warmer climes!

We thought we had packed every possible piece of electronic equipment that we could need. Unfortunately the cable for downloading pictures to the computer was the wrong one. It may have to wait until we get home at the end of the month. I guess the family who owns it are the ultimate snowbirds... when the days are long and the weather is "nice", the trailer acts as the rear part of the cabin and when it turns dark and stormy, they probably pull the trailer out from underneath the really nicely done overhang and head to southern France, or Spain. Can I sign up for that?
