Here is a photo I came across today. This person had repurposed a vintage ceiling light as a wall light. What do you think? Is it wonderful or weird?

Hi, From a vintage trailer guy located in Santa Ana, CA. It's good to see lots of activity here.

I guess you could staple your calendar, to the ceiling? But then, if you had "too much vino", you might get confused on how to get out of the bed.
Second thought, it might be better to just leave well enough alone.

I think it looks odd! Odd isn't always a bad thing however, it also looks rather vulnerable to me in the way it sticks out from the wall . I think it would be easily broken.

I think in the right trailer, it would work. (as in larger, more modern, Airstream type)Not for a canned ham.

They should have taken the next step and just gone ahead and turned it into a clock. A light that size affixed to a wall not a ceiling, I'd keep looking at it to see what time it was!
And I'm all about repurposing. Do it in my business everyday and have a couple of clever things planned for my trailer that will feature some of the found objects and the millions of old nails. But, these trailer owners needed to think more outside the box, IMO.

I love the idea but the area is too small, it looks like they ran out of mirror tiles

Overkill right next to the other lamp. But these people put mirror tiles on the birch, so I guess that would explain it.

Maybe they took the ceiling light down to make room for the Disco Ball? A smaller "ceiling" light or one that was proportional with the trailer... might have worked.

Come on now! Enough snide comments about the mirror tiles! Everybody knows a few strategically placed mirror tiles can fool even the most detail oriented visitor into believing you have a vintage camper with a slide-out...where I live they are routinely used in full restorations to make our friends think we have one of the very rarest collectible vintage double-wides. Just the other day my Bro-In-Law from Crane Creek, while we were tastin' of a new batch, said that it is way cool my '61 Shasta Compact is twice as wide as it is long!! Have to admit I ignored him when he asked who them two other guys were, drinking at the table next to us...yummm...good batch!

Made these wind chimes out of some old silverware to use when camping season rolls around next spring. Reuse...repurpose...recycle.
