We have one that we use with our 13' 67 Frolic and it works great. How much does your Frolic weigh? We're not sure exactly. We've seen different numbers but around 1800. We also have the one from Harbor Freight. When we first opened the box I thought that there was no way it was going to work, seemed too flimsy, but it's been a life saver repositioning our camper in our back yard and getting it up our narrow driveway.

I use my dolly on all trailers up to around 500 lbs. tongue weight this includes my tandem axle car trailer with a car on it. much heavier than that is too heavy to move by hand anyway.

So how difficult is it to move a trailer with a hand towing dolly? I'm wondering if I'm strong enough to move my Compacts with one? If it worked, it could be very handy when I'm shuffling three trailers around, like today! But even my driveway has slopes and I can move TD by hand but I need a second person to assure it doesn't "get away" from me.

As far as slopes are concerned… be careful and have a friend near by with some chocks… just in case ;-). For my situation, my rig is definitely heavier than a Compact, and I'm moving it on dirt. So I think I may have to go with the more expensive one with wider wheel base, larger tires and caster.

I know it's spendy, but we bought the Trailer Valet, because our driveway is sloped and a very difficult approach from the alley to get our trailer parked out of the way of the garage doors, we also share our drive with a neighbor, who has, shall we say, "extra" cars that he leaves parked all over the place , so you never know how much room you will have to pull in. Well the Trailer Valet is amazing! My husband was skeptical, but it just turns our @ 1800 lb 1972 Red Dale on a dime right into it's parking spot, up (or down) a medium grade with no problem, drama or back pain. Minor adjustments to where the trailer is sitting, no problem! I LOVE it. It would totally work on hard packed dirt or even hard dry grass, but soft grass, nope. We just had an issue with that pulling out of a camping spot and the ground was a little soft, leaving the wheels of the Trailer Valet sinking into the ground and spinning.

I had a retractable wheel on the tongue of my Teardrop camper it works the same at that dolly and it worked great for a 600 lb camper. I think that would be worthless on my 1900 lb camper in the grass but might be ok on the level cement driveway.

Yes jack wheels don't do well on grass or gravel, a rubber tire dolly works best all around but they aren't great in grass.

I used the harbor freight one to pull my camper around my back yard. It worked great, we had no problems. We started on cement then went around a swing set on through the uneven grass, around a sharp turn onto lava rocks. I give that thing two thumbs up.
