Do all old trailers smell like mouse pee, or does mouse pee smell like all old trailers? So on the last camping trip my wife and I were talking about what we love and what we hate about out trailer, the big issue for both of us is the lack of a bathroom(yes our had one originally but my wife didn't want it...so it went) and I wanted double axles cause of sway. But we weren't really looking for one as we were elbow deep in re-landscaping our back yard and had a lot of trips planned for the summer with our Shasta. Enter a random visit to this forum by me and seeing a post by a new member zbubble. vintagetrailertalk.freeforums.net/thread/2297/newb-coloradoThe trailer hit the nail on head, I drove the hour-hour and half to the rural town where the trailer had lived for the past 25 years, I wanted it! We agreed on a price, I had to order new rims and get new tires since it was sitting on 7 x 14.5 bias ply's from 1979. Unfortunately the trailer was not as nice as the pictures showed it, 25 years living at the front door of tornado alley did a number on the skin, the roof and curb side actually look like golf ball, it had plenty of water damage and rot, not to mention the MICE and bugs, but with some hard work it should be campable by next winter. FYI it is fully self contained, it is not a park model has a Blackwater tank. I've been told the original owner towed this to Mexico and back to Colorado with a station wagon. Here is my 1961 Kenskill 23.5(the box is 23.5') "Kenny the Whale" sample of the Hail Damage Yellow Appliances and Fixtures H20 Damage My Shasta is feeling inferior- Also the trailer came a 3 ring binder with every Kenskill Brochure, an Airstream Brochure and pretty much every owners manual for everything on this trailer so I'll be scanning them is as time allows!!

That's a beautiful trailer .... My 59 is 18 feet. You have me by a few. Looks like they kept the front porch look... My front end looks exactly like that. I really love the tail... WOW!

So many beautiful things on this trailer... It's like a time capsule! Congratulations... and a perfectionist to restore it! The trailer must be happy too!

Kenny is so cool I'm at a loss for words. Front and back exterior details are totally awesome. Love the iron headboards on the beds and everything else about Kenny too. Original brochures, and pics, unbelievable! All I got is WOW! This is just one of those dream trailers that the words Vintage Trailer is all about. Score of a life time.

It's so beautiful I want to live in it. And to have all those original brochures is priceless.

Right now we're going to fix the rot and sanitize everything with lots of bleach, replace the roof and flooring repair H2O damage, reseal all windows and repaint it...but maybe I'll add a dome to it!
Thanks for the kind words, it's definitely not as nice as the pictures show! The whole deal was a little touch and go especially since after we agreed on a deal it showed up on the facebook page of Vintage Camper Trailers Mag asking what the value was...if you were one of the many who said it was worth $12-15K as it sat, I'm sorry, we can't be friends anymore!

Awesome trailer, Schweet! But 12-15 grand? First, you know it's not worth that, but really, folks, why would you want to know what you "could have gotten for it" AFTER it was sold??

Schweet,
That is a cool trailer…love the lines, especially in the rear. I’m sure you will make it beautiful. Congratulations!!
12k to 15K for a restore project is delusional.
