This has got to have been the worst weekend that Bo and I have ever spent on a trailer. As most of you know, I found my keeper late last year. 63 1500, perfect skin, complete and nice condition. She was perfect for a restore. I arranged for a shipper (Super nice guy) to bring her the 1700 from AZ to AL. Cost $800. After a few set backs he picked her up and hit some really bad weather along the way. He made it 1100 miles to Houston TX. He called Thurday lunchtime to inform us that he couldn`t bring her any further as she was "leaning over". Well...we all know what that meant  . I called Bo and he came home from work and we prepped to leave for TX. We told the shipper to leave her in the parking lot at the hotel where he`d spend the previous night. We arrived at 5.30am Friday morning. I have to say that the staff at this hotel were great. Allowing us to use their ice and vending machines and to use an outlet in the lobby to charge our batteries for drill and screwdrivers,even though we didn`t have a room there   |

Oh.......soo many bad words come to mind. I'm sure it will all work out but that sucks.
Selfishly, I'm glad you guys put off getting it and came to Riverbend. Really enjoyed meeting you both.

Sooo...... Mr Tommy (gps) told us that Lowes was .7 miles down the road. We walked in at 7.30am and out before 8am.  We also had to buy a tongue jack. |

We really enjoyed meeting you also. I do however wish that we`d gone ahead and made the trip to AZ as we would have known when we inspected her that she wouldn`t make the trip and would have fixed and braced her. Unfortunately the PO nor the shipper had any experience with these old ladies and both thought she was good to go. |

I`m not a girly girl but when I saw her, I was so upset that I wanted to vomit right there in the parking lot. I can`t repeat what words he used when he saw her  |
