Ya so to respond , I’m in a great position to restore it properly. I want to remove all the paint and make it shiny. Rebuild what’s needed, paint interior is an option that my friend would likely want to be done. I will highly consider staining the trailer rather than paint it white. On the other hand, if I do rebuild it over the course of 3 years I’ll have a place to relax and feeling of accomplishment, something priceless, and a place to sleep and travel in. All the electrical is fine in this trailer and here in California it doesn’t look like the market is changing anytime soon. As a consumer we want it to be as low as you estimated it to be, as a seller we want to most money. It’s a terrible philosophy and only promotes greed but I guess I’m willing to put up with it to have a finished product to get away from all this. I’m planning on traveling and sleeping across the US. And instead of paying for hotels and 5 star resorts with rules , I have this . After I rebuild I’d like to change the market with the help of all of you, as you know people who are interested in buying trailers do watch videos to get an idea of what it takes. We could change , I know Larry has done his part and I will do mine. On the other hand , valuing my work by the hour will be quite hard, I move fast, and slow at times. I have a friend who is a professional painter and he also owns a trailer i will post pictures of his. He will help with that .

I'm not a vintage trailer restoration expert like many of our members here but I do have some experience with Field and Stream. If our 65 is any indication you are in for quite a project. I'll just link to my blog and you can look back to the start where we had a lot of very unique problems restoring our trailer. Hopefully yours, as a 66 does not have some of the more terrible features like the honeycomb cardboard floor, half frame with broken crossmembers and glued framing walls that required a complete frame-off restoration. Also, Ash paneling is no longer easily available, so you will likely need to use oak which can be made to look close. 1965fieldandstream.blogspot.com/2014/?m=0What should you pay for a F&S with any water damage? Under $1k
