Hello folks, new here.
Ive been looking for a narrow track enclosed trailer to convert into a camper. Narrow track enclosed trailers are 7' wide with wheel wells instead of outside fenders, with the wheels tucked up under them or no wider than 7'.
There so rare and I'm tired of flagging all the scammers and dealers on CL owners section, I'm wondering which older travel trailers were only 7' wide.. Were any aluminum holiday ramblers only 7' wide?
If I would have known finding a used narrow track was so difficult, I would have held on to my featherlite toyhauler until I'd found one..
Anyone? Thanks!

Check for a 50’s model of Shasta Trailers, but we frown on people who don’t restore them.

Welcome!
I think buying a vintage camper for the frame will be outrageously expensive. And if you find one cheap chances are it won't have a title and will be badly rusted.

Our field and stream is 74 inches wide inside (I know this because I am 74.5 inches tall. Add in the wall thickness and its under 7 feet wide... I don't even need tow mirrors.

Our 57 Shasta is 7’ wide exactly, but it’s the journey of making her great again that’s worth every penny we sink into her. We liked the size so we could take her off the pavement, but nothing too extreme. They are pretty low to the ground.

My old traveleze is super wide, but I have a first generation (04/05) T@B that is 6’6”. Narrow is handy out in the sticks.

We camped at Baxter SP in Maine. Max width allowed was 84", no dually's allowed. (Once you enter the gate, it's an 8 mi drive back to the CG with a 20 mph speed limit) Beautiful place!

Thanks guys.. I'll search for the terms mentioned on searchtempest.. The camper would have to have a flat wall on the back because I would need a ramp door even if I didn't want to bring my toy, for the view.. My old featherlite had all sorts of leaks, but good thing it was aluminum.. I sort of like the 7' wide Flagstaff E-Pro 16TH.. The price, not so much..
