I purchased a 1982 coachmen TT for a whopping $200. I new the floor and front wall had to be replaced and rebuilt. I am a intermediate carpenter, plumber, electrician, and master mechanic, and I've had the camper for 2 months and this has to the most fun I'm having

I happened across a photo of a 1991 trailer somewhere the other week. They had removed some of the skin and guess what. The framing methods were still exactly the same as they have been since 1950. Nothing much has changed in all that time other than the materials that you can see like paneling. Other than that, stick and tin trailers are all built the same way as far as engineering is concerned. They still have not been able to improve on that. |
