It was in the middle of the desert abandoned for at least 12 years, and it's in really bad shape. I have always wanted to restore a vintage Shasta to it's former glory. I can't figure out what year it is and how to do a title check to make it legally ours. VIN number is C9524. It has a marine bath with shower. I will include a picture... Beware it's awful right now. Well I don't know how to post a picture. It doesn't have wings. Pretty sure it never did. The front is slopped like the 1952-1957 Shasta models. It's 18 or 17 foot long, not 19 like the 1900 deluxe. The oven is a Princess, and refrigerator is Krafft, with tiny ice trays. Original color is mint green.

With that serial number I would guess it is a 57 because I have a 57 with a number around 8900 and a 58 with a number at 10000

I don't think the Deluxe was a full 19 feet... if I remember correctly, my 57 was 18.5? And the Krefft definitely dates it around 57, there was one in mine as well.

We re-measured it, and the back of the frame to the hitch is 16 foot. The plate light I have only seen on 1955 models, but I just wish I could label her right when we get her titled. I can't find any one who can run her VIN number. It's C9524 which puts it in the early products. No wings also dates it between 1952 and 1957. The bathroom is the biggest thing throwing us off. It's original with aluminum or stainless lining where the shower part is.

Trailers are measured from the back most spot to the tip of the tongue. Add the tongue length to your measurement and figure from there. Here is a link to my 57: 57shastadeluxe.shutterfly.com/ Click on Pictures and Videos to view the albums. If your floor plan is similar, yours is pry a Deluxe. If it's got a back bathroom, an SC or SCS depending on door placement. Please post a photo. Ten will no doubt chime in with excellent info. NOTE: The wings were added to the above trailer by a PO. They were not original in 1957.

link.shutterfly.com/qU8AISDVP0 This is a link to my Shasta Daisy (that's what we named her). Her front is slopped more than the 57 deluxe, but the layout seems right. The bathroom is just like "ours". Ownership is still pending getting a title for her. I've found someone to give me an appraisal, then I get a lost title bond, then we can start the DMV part. I really would love to give her a birth year. Right now, we are going with the '57 deluxe. I really hope it's right. Thank you for helping us! We are newbies, but we make beautiful things together, I don't see why Daisy won't turn out hopefully as beautiful as the pictures I have seen.

YES! Yes it is. My grandson calls it a roll cage and wants us to keep it so we can take it 4wheelin'. LOL. I don't know what the man was thinking, but it's got to go.

Too funny. Yes, they are shotgun holes. They go all the way through from the other side. People are idiots, and I live in New Mexico.

I read all his post under the VIN thread... All 55 pages and left my VIN there for the database. I'm going to register it as a 1957 Shasta 1900 Deluxe. It's a little different but it's a lot the same.
