Hey everyone, This message is for folks local to the Dallas, Texas area. I know how difficult it is to get metal in this part of Texas, so... I am making a run up to Bristow, OK to pick up some aluminum for my trailer, leaving Saturday morning. Ordering from Mac's Aluminum, they have several colors and choices in patterns. If you are looking for aluminum and hate the shipping costs as much as I do (which are usually 100 - 200% of the cost of the metal) I would be happy to pick up as many orders as I can fit in my truck and bring them back to DFW. (for a small fee). Here is the link to Mac's, give Jake a call and see if they have what you need. The turn around is pretty quick if it is something standard that you need. macsaluminum.com/aluminum-siding/please let me know if you want me to pick something up Thanks, John

Depends on how much skin you are ordering. If you only order one panel 48" by say 7 feet, then the shipping will be high in comparison to the cost of the metal. If you are ordering skin for the entire trailer that ratio goes much lower. Just the cost of doing business. Glad you are offering to help people save money John but so far I have never seen the cost of shipping even match the cost of the metal much less 100-200%. I had one sheet sent to me a few months ago and the cost of shipping was about 60% of the cost of the metal itself...

Yeah, I definitely misspoke there... not sure what I was thinking when I typed that.... I meant 50-60% of the cost.... Glad you pointed that out... thanks Larry!

People gladly pay $5 for a tube of toothpaste and the shipping is 10 times the cost of the toothpaste itself. You just don't get to see the breakdown LOL...

Picked up 1 4x8 sheet of metal on Saturday, drove 3.5 hours. When I got there, I asked exactly what the shipping cost would be, and it was $325.00, metal only costed $130 with tax.....
