Was tooling around on the internet and found this picture of the same year and make of my trailer (1960 Kenskill model 1950, and I noticed the starburst back plates on the cabinet hardware.... Searched and searched for these on the web, but couldn't find any that were under $15-$127 each, so I decided to make my own. I created the drawing using a CAD program, and printed them on a 3D printer... I am pretty happy with the initial result. Will need to paint it, and make it look "age appropriate" but I think that it will do.... SBPicLet me know your thoughts.....

Wow that looks awesome! I kind of like the black, ties in with the black dot on the pull.

Hmmm I’m not sure. Can you send me 8 of them so I can make my mind up?

Wow I don't see any gimp... I respect the wood trim over gimp. Maybe creaks like crazy but looks better and probably lasts long.

Wow I don't see any gimp... Unfortunately, I didn't do the interior, or it would have it, but it'll do....

But the problem that the lack of gimp brings up is did they just put new paneling over old rotted paneling? Or did they rip out the paneling from the inside? Both techniques are wrong. This is one of the things that I teach people to look for when thinking about buying a trailer. Gimp can't go on unless you remove the roof, the framing and the paneling. Hopefully they did it right and just couldn't find gimp or didn't want to use it.

The PO sent me around 400 pictures of the rebuild, some things I like what he did, and some I don't. As far as stability, rot, and structural things, he did a good job in my opinion, but there are definitely things that I would have done different.

OK I thought I remember you saying that you saw photos of the build. Glad to hear it.

I didn’t use gimp either. I got some to sample but it looked like a bad caulking job. Lol. so I just did the trim also. Looks so much better to me.
