I picked this camper up here in Minnesota setting in someone's back yard that was not being used and have started to tear into the interior. I was really surprised how sturdy this unit is. I'm not sure what model it is, maybe someone here can tell me. I will probably be asking a lot of questions before I get it done but I'm pretty excited about the job ahead and actually being able to take it on the road.

I would ask questions first before you begin work on your trailer. There is a lot to know and if you don't educate yourself you could ruin the trailer. A lot of people jump right in and being removing the interior and that is the exact WRONG thing to do. Get some knowledge under your belt before you do anything more. Also we need photos to help you out.

Thanks mobiltec for your reply. I removed the paneling that was rotted and was surprised that it was aluminum framing under it and not wood and seems really sturdy compared to some of the others that I have seen. I will be asking a lot of questions and when I figure out how to post pictures I will do that.

I will be asking a lot of questions and when I figure out how to post pictures I will do that. In that case it may be OK to remove the paneling from the inside. Are the panels screwed to the framing and is your metal skin applied with rivets? If so you can remove the paneling from the inside of this trailer. With stick built you can't do that.

Boles this age are riveted. Some have a steel insert in the middle of the roof. Rust out and unlike metal rot result. I recommend changing the steel out to aluminum. It has to be heavy duty to replace the sheer strength of the steel.
