Hello Friends,
I wanted to mention a new book that has recently been published. It's The Illustrated Field Guide to Vintage Trailers, by Bob Thompson and Carl Jameson.
It's a book listing hundreds of vintage trailers and it is well researched by the authors. They went to the RV/Motor Home Hall of Fame in Elkhart, Indiana for their research. After pouring over original ads and pictures for many hours, they assembled all their data into one book to create a field guide including 1000 pictures. Like any other field guide, you can search through looking for pictures and a listing of manufacturers in alphabetical order.
I will be ordering this today. It is now available at Barnes and Noble for just $15.91 plus $5 bucks shipping to get it to your door. That’s a price that is very reasonable in my opinion. For 4 latte’s you can have this book as an easy reference. I am one of those people that just loves looking at vintage trailers and has the bug. I think anyone who enjoys trailer rallies should have a book like this.
I do wish it came in a digital version especially this day and age, however, I am one of those folks that enjoys the tactile feeling of holding a book or newspaper while I read. I can’t go wrong.
Cheers,
Rod

Hi Friends,
I received my copy and immediately checked to see if my trailers were in the book. I imagine most folks will do that.
I found it somewhat a page turner. I enjoyed reading about many manufacturers.
Then, there's the recognition. "Hey! I have seen one of those.
Cheers,
Rod
