After walking around a hitch for 60 or 70 years you stop walking into it. In the days when I might tow 3 or 4 different trailers in a day it just became easier to leave it in. Now days when I just tow now and then I take it out.

Several years ago a neighbor asked me to remove his hitch from the receiver on his truck. He insisted that some one had welded it. Nope not welded just rusted.
The kicker is he had been towing his horse trailer for a few years, WITH NO PIN!
