Greetings all, I just installed a new hot water heater in my '76 Shasta, and the flare fitting for the gas line is almost 2 feet away from the end of the existing copper line. So...do I find a short extension hose to connect the two, or remove the old copper line (it goes under the floor, it's near the front) and find someone to make a new, longer copper line? Let me know what you think, thanks!

Use copper tubing and extend it. Hoses are illegal inside the trailer. It should be 3/8 flare, but check first!. Use a male union to connect the new tube w/nuts. You can either flare it yourself or have the gas company make you one.
