Hi all! I just bought a very clean very original 1953 Holly with a front dinette. I’m not a dinette person, but this thing is really a “time capsule” and naturally I want to keep it preserved which means I also don’t want to put it in bed position and have people sitting on it. I was thinking of taking the table out for general camping, reserving it for rallies where there are tours when I would want to set up with the original table and dishes etc. Has anyone developed a method to make an original table removable? I would prob put a very small table in when the original is out, or maybe create a U shaped seating area with the two seats and an additional seat between. Ideas? http://instagram.com/p/Bs_6LNchJ-6 http://instagram.com/p/Bs_fyx_ByFu

What a great little trailer!
Almost all trailers have a removable table, so I'm not sure what your situation is. If it is mounted solidly to the wall, how would you make the dinette into a bed? I'm thinking a PO changed the table set up somewhat. Can you explain how it is mounted.

Well I’m an idiot! I assumed it was like my last trailer and swung down. Why does it have two sets of latches? I am a tad excited about this one and asked questions too fast Lots of pics here if you have nothing else to do today... flickr.com/photos/14985911@N00/sets/72157698848498160

I always liked the Holly campers. The cabinets are great and the floor is in good condition.
I agree with the above posts about the table sitting between the benches to form the base for the bed.

Yes - and I have a tall kid. Even in this smaller version there is at least 6’ of headroom. I’ll store the table when we aren’t setting up for tours. I wonder if it originally had a formica topped table and the double latches are from adding the wood one.
