Hello everyone. I’m hoping for some help/opinions. I have a 1972 Alfa Gold Series travel trailer that I will be selling to a family friend. I love my trailer and have put quite a bit of work into it lately but it just doesn’t quite fit the needs of my family at this time. The problem is I have no idea the worth of the trailer, as I can’t find any information on my trailer. I don’t want to charge way too much or too little so I figured I’d ask for some advice on here. I’ve tried to look at other vintage trailers for sale for an idea but the prices seem to be all over the place. Obviously there are a lot of considerations when determining a price, but again, I can’t seem to find any place to even start. Here is some info that could possibly help ballpark an amount:
26(?) foot Alfa Gold. Interior is in excellent condition, exterior definitely shows its age but does not have any leaks. Everything works except: heater (fan doesn’t turn on), refrigerator works when hooked up to electrical but doesn’t run on propane. Water heater has never been used (may work, may not).
I realize it’s nearly impossible to come up with the worth of the trailer just from this info but I’m hoping you can at least give me an idea of the worth. I’ll post some pics in this thread as soon as I figure out how. Thank you in advance!

Pictures would help. A 72 trailer that is 26' is not worth much as a 'vintage' trailer, since most folks looking for vintage will want older, more ham shaped trailers. It is worth what the local traffic will bear. Look for similar trailers on Craigs, the length and condition will tell you more than brand.
Unfortunately, appliances are extremely expensive. The furnace is around $600, water heater at least another $250. The fridge should be able to be made to work on gas but may or may not work on for very long.
If you have the title, that will make it worth more. Depending on where you are, replacement titles are not always easy to come by.
Trailers such as yours start around $1500. In my area, many are under 1K. As you know, it's very difficult to come up with a number not knowing where you are, if the title is available and what 26' trailers are selling for locally.

The dollar amount value of your trailer can never compare to the value of a friend. Deep down you know what you want for the trailer. Just tell the friend that amount. They can say yes or counter offer. Kelly blue book does not have a catagory for selling to a friend. 2 years ago we sold our trailer. I had a. Sign in the window. My friend walked up And said."we want to buy it. Today we are still friends. But I told them Evetything I had done to the trailer and everything i thought it needed, before they handed the cash. As Is Sale always. Good Luck.

This is a great quote to remember when my sister in law got a new car she and my brother sold her old car to a friend for what they would have gotten for traiding it in my brother delivering it from NC to PA just to see a friend. He could have made far more on the car but at the end of the day what is friendship worth. Price it where both of you can be happy with it and go on camping trips together and make lots of memories together.

Hi Alfaben, They need to see all around and inside too. Condition is always a major factor. Looks nice though
