Thank you for adding me to this Group. Please explain the meaning behind S11514. These are the only numbers I can find on this older Shasta camper. Once stamped on the tongue and on a small welded tag on the inside of the tongue. Thanks in advance.

The number would be the VIN for your trailer. The placements you describe are correct placement for Shasta VIN numbers. Each plant had separate numberings, and each had a letter to denote the plant. The "S" character denotes that the trailer was manufactured in the South Carolina plant, the rest is a sequential number. The numbers did not represent any particular information such as model or year built. The year can be narrowed down by comparing to a long accumulated list of the VINs.
