Hey All, wondering if anyone here can tell me if the 1962 Glendette has threaded Hubs? and are they reverse threaded?
We tried to pop them off with a screwdriver, but they didn't budge, and we need to grease the bearings.
Also, has anyone cut out the area around the wheel on this model? is there any wiring in there?
Thanks for looking!

Thanks for responding.
The good news is we have new wheels on it, and the lugs are no longer backwards. These are dated photos in that regard.
Is the "dust cap" you refer to the six-sided thing in the middle of the wheel that I've referred to as the "hub"? If so, it's the dust cap I am asking about. Does it screw on? and is it reverse threaded (righty-loosey)?

These look like thread on and typically they are lefty-loosey. Old grease make them hard to get off. I've seen people make a six sided wrench out of 3/4" plywood which let you remove without crushing. These screw on caps are very hard to find. They look like the same ones that were on my Spartan.

These are screw off caps. A six point socket of the proper size is the best way to take them off. They could be right or left hand threads I have seen both. They usually are a fine thread. I usually remove them with an impact wrench and socket, but I'm really good a feathering the trigger. If you aren't turn air pressure down till impact wrench barely will run then see if it won't shake them loose.

I would try to unscrew the caps very carefully with a large wrench or socket by hand. They usually aren't that difficult to remove. Spray with a lubricant as well. They are hard to find, so be careful with them.
